"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, the the trying of your faith worketh patience."
Have you ever looked at this verse for a long time and tried to figure out what it means. How are we supposed to find this joy that James is talking about when we come upon varies trials and temptations? Is God serious that we are supposed to be happy that we are being tested? These two verses are some of the most telling verses in the Bible of how we as Christ followers are supposed to respond when we hit hard times in our walk here on earth! This is one way that God allows us to find joy in life. This joy is not just a joyful attitude, but it is an overwhelming joy that is supposed to overcome us. God allows us to experience this! We do not need to be scared by what life throws at us, we do not need to back down when something hard hits. We need to stand our ground on what we believe the Bible teaches, so then we can practice when we are taught. If we are living our lives based on the foundation of Scripture, we can find joy in all things, even the trials!
